MacArthur High School students conduct a dress rehearsal for their production of “The Lion King”. The play will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and Dec. 15. The musical is a collaboration between MHS drama, tech theatre and vocal music, with choreography from MacArthur Middle School and the stomp team. Tickets are $10 for the general public, $5 for LPS students and staff with ID and those 5 and under are free. Crews from Southern Bleacher Co. begin installing bleachers on the east side of the Lawton High School football field on Tuesday. The bleachers, which will seat 750 people and include a press box, will be primarily for fans of visiting schools when LHS hosts football games. Crews from Southern Lifting and Hoist, Oklahoma City, prepare to lift the third wall into place Monday morning on the new gymnasium/safe room at Ridgecrest Elementary School. Each panel weighs about 60,000 pounds and is lifted by a 550-ton crane. All of the walls should be in place before Thanksgiving. #WeAreLPS #LawtonPS #oklaed
