Lawton High School was named winner of the Southwest Oklahoma State University Interscholastic Competition on March 26 in Weatherford.
Lawton High also placed first in the large school division and won four departments: Social Studies, Business, Computer Science and Technology. More than 80 Lawton High students competed in 43 events ranging from music to accounting to physics to history. In all, 55 high schools from across Oklahoma competed in the event.

The team is coordinated by LHS Academic Coach Anna Kirchen and assisted by LHS football and wrestling assistant coach and resident substitute Xavior Johnson.
